THE DISTRICT

The DISTRICT is dedicated to the economic and community revitalization of the historic areas of downtown.  Its programs seek to foster and stimulate growth of a district identity, community spirit, civic pride and unity while promoting the people in the area and to further retain downtown Nashville's historic character.  To learn more about the Historic Heartbeat of Music City, visit www.TheDISTRICTNashville.org

MARTHA O'BRYAN CENTER is a Christian family resource center that supports and empowers individuals and families in need living in the James A. Cayce Homes (our city’s largest and poorest public housing development) and surrounding east Nashville, as they strive to attain greater levels of well being and self-reliance.   MOBC was founded in 1894, when Miss O’Bryan, a retired teacher, organized the Gleaners Society at First Presbyterian Church to work with Nashville’s needy.   In 1948, MOBC began operating at the current site in the James Cayce Homes. Programming addresses individual, family, and community needs, serving 3000 people yearly.  www.marthobryan.org

PETERSON FOUNDATION FOR PARKINSONS
